Varanasi also known as Banaras or Kashi is the holiest city in India, also the one of the seven sacred cities and among the oldest living cities in the world, situated on the banks of the Ganges river. Some of the prominent places of interest in Varanasi are Jantar Mantar,Ramnagar Fort,Dhanvantari Temple, Bharat  Mata Temple and Parshvanath Jain temple. The city is also known for Benares gharana, Banarasi paan, banarasi saree ,banarasi ghats and Banaras Hindu University. Day 1 – River Ganges The Ganges or River Ganga is the holiest river of India and holds an important place in the Hindu religion. All the famous Varanasi ghats are built along the bank of river Ganges and use for Ganga Aarti,cremation and bath.
